Sunsethue Mobile App

Over the last years of developing and operating Sunsethue, there was one question that came back again and again: “will you create a mobile app?”. Over the past year I focused my limited time towards improving the forecasts. Now that the V3 model of Sunsethue is almost finished, it is finally time for the long awaited Sunsethue mobile app.

FAQ

Why did it take so long to create a mobile app?

The main focus over the past years has been to improve the forecasts as much as possible in terms of accuracy and new innovative features. Creating a mobile app is a lot of work, but now Sunsethue’s V3 model is almost ready to launch, the time has finally come.

When will the app launch?

The exact launch date is yet to be decided and depends on the approval time of Apple and Google. The iOS app is likely to launch at the end of July, the Android app will probably launch later.

Will the web-app stay available?

Yes, the mobile app will not have all the functionalities of the web-app at the beginning, because it takes time to port all features over. For experimental features and maps, the web-app will still be the place-to-be.

Will there be a free trial?

There will be a 14-day free trial for the Sunsethue Alerts annual subscription to get a feel for it before you decide to pay for it.

Will more features be introduced later?

The plan is to add widgets and interactive maps as part of the paying feature-set after the app has launched.
