Sunsethue is part of Tropoflow, a registered company in Belgium. This privacy policy will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.

Collected data

Sunsethue collects the following data for any user visiting sunsethue.com and accepting the analytics cookies:

1. Geolocation based on IP-address
2. Web pages requested
3. Referring web page
4. Browser and device used
5. Date and time

This data is not associated with individual user identities. This data is collected through 3rd party Analytics software: Posthog, and is stored on their servers.

When signing up for a Sunsethue account, we collect the following information:

1. E-mail address
2. Reference to Google or Apple account (if signed up with Google or Apple)
3. Saved locations (if the user uses the location saving feature)

This data is stored securely on Sunsethue's servers.

When signing up for Sunsethue Alerts:

1. E-mail address
2. Location (as specified by the user)
3. Other relevant settings (including quality threshold, time, days, etc)

This data is stored securely on Sunsethue's servers.

How is your data collected?

You directly provide Sunsethue with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

1. Use or view our website via your browser's cookies
2. Register for a Sunsethue account
3. Register for Sunsethue Alerts
4. Apply for a Sunsethue API key
5. Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email

How is your data used?

Sunsethue collects your data so that we can:

1. Analyze traffic and website usage patterns
2. Provide users with services (eg. Sunsethue Alerts, account, API)

When Sunsethue processes your payment, it may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.

How is your data stored?

Sunsethue securely stores your analytics data at Posthog servers. Sunsethue will keep analytics data for up to 3 years, whereafter data is automatically deleted. Sunsethue will keep account and Alerts information as long as the user’s account is active. Upon deletion of an account, information can be stored for up to 3 years on Sunsethue's servers.

Marketing

Sunsethue does not send out any marketing mails to users. Mails are only sent as part of the Sunsethue Alert service, but these mails are not meant to be promotional. Signing up for these mails is completely voluntary.

Payment processing

Sunsethue uses Stripe for all payment processing, consult their privacy policy for more information: stripe.com/privacy.

What are your data protection rights?

Sunsethue would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request Sunsethue for copies of your personal data without any charge.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Sunsethue correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Sunsethue to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Sunsethue erase your personal data.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Sunsethue restrict the processing of your personal data.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to Sunsethue’s processing of your personal data.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that Sunsethue transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you.
